The current opening is for the Recreation Coordinator assigned to the Crown Valley Park swimming pool, reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor. The position will develop and coordinate recreation programs for all ages; evaluate and make recommendations for development of new resources; act as liaison to community groups and agencies providing services and programs; evaluate activities of the Aquatics program, assess community recreation needs and recommend improvements and modifications.
A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
- Minimum of one year of experience in the administration of recreation, social, and cultural programs and activities, including supplemental training in First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety and Lifeguard Instruction as assigned.
- Experience with planning, marketing and implementing a variety of recreation programs and special events for all ages.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in recreation or related field.
