Recreation Manager

It is an exciting time for the City of Laguna Niguel Parks and Recreation Department. The recently completed, award-winning Crown Valley Community Center is ready to begin welcoming the public through its doors. The Department’s mission is to provide a comprehensive offering of innovative and diverse recreational and community service programs that enhance the quality of life for youth, adults, families and seniors in Laguna Niguel. The Department is comprised of 18 full-time employees as well as various part-time and seasonal staff members. 

The Position
Now is your chance to make a difference in a remarkable community! Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Director, the Recreation Manager directs the day-to-day operations and activities of various recreation and community services program divisions, including aquatics, recreation programs, special events, sports , senior services, community center and specialty use facilities. The Recreation Manager is responsible for the Department’s budget and special projects. The position provides highly responsible and complex support to the Parks and Recreation Director, coordinates assigned activities, with City Commissions/Committees, other City departments, outside agencies and the community.
